Built in Gardens, Serving Businesses Across South Africa
TsAndCs was founded in 2013 with a practical aim: to make essential website compliance documents easier to understand, easier to tailor and easier to keep current. We are based in Gardens, Cape Town, and we work with businesses in the Cape Town CBD, Sea Point, Claremont, Bellville, Stellenbosch, Paarl and further afield through our online policy packs and support service. Whether a client is launching a new ecommerce store, updating booking terms or tightening up a privacy notice, we keep the process focused on what the business actually needs.
Our work is shaped by the realities South African businesses deal with every day. That includes load-shedding, staffing changes, shifting customer expectations, coastal humidity that affects equipment and records, and municipal or sector rules that sometimes change the detail. A policy pack should not become a burden. It should be clear enough for customers to understand and practical enough for a team to use. That is how we approach every brief, from a single document review to a full launch readiness check.
Why We Focus on Clarity First
Legal wording can be exact without being confusing. That is the balance we aim for. Our team works on the principle that a business should be able to explain its terms, privacy position and booking rules in plain language while still covering the right compliance points. We do not treat policy documents as something to file away and forget. They should support day-to-day trading, customer trust and a cleaner process when something goes wrong.
That focus on clarity helps businesses of different sizes. A sole trader setting up a service website does not need the same structure as a larger organisation with multiple departments, subscription flows and data collection points. We look at how the business operates, what it collects, where it trades and how customers move through the site. Then we shape the documents around those facts, not around a generic template that misses important details or includes things that never apply. It saves time later and reduces back-and-forth for the team.
- Plain language that customers can actually read
- Document sets matched to the way the business works
- Practical support for launches, updates and reviews
How We Work With Clients
Most clients reach us through the enquiry form on our contact page. From there, we look at the nature of the business, the type of website or platform in use and the compliance work needed. Some clients need Policy Pack Customisation only. Others need a fuller set of documents, including Privacy Gap Analysis, POPIA Alignment, PAIA Support or Subscription Policy Support. We also help with ecommerce policy setup, booking site documents, platform terms drafting and ongoing compliance support when a site changes often.
Our process is structured but not stiff. We ask for the right background, review the relevant information and identify the gaps that matter. If a website is handling online payments, client bookings, newsletters or customer accounts, those touchpoints need to be reflected properly. If a business is collecting personal information across several channels, the privacy position has to line up across each one. That is the kind of detail we pay attention to, because small mismatches can create bigger headaches later. Some businesses come to us just before launch, while others need help after their site has already gone live.
- Enquiry submitted through the contact page
- Business needs and site structure reviewed
- Documents tailored and compliance points checked
- Updates issued when services, laws or workflows change
The Team Behind the Work
TsAndCs is led by Luyanda Mbeki, our Managing Director, who keeps the business grounded in service and practical problem-solving. He works alongside Anika Naidoo, Head of Compliance Content, who leads the document wording and keeps the detail consistent. Sibusiso Dlamini, our Customer Success Lead, makes sure clients know what is happening at each stage and that the handover is smooth. Megan van Wyk oversees Operations, Thato Molefe focuses on product structure and delivery, and Kyle Petersen handles Technical Support Coordination for the platform side of the business.
That mix of roles matters because compliance work is never only about wording. It also involves timing, implementation and support. A client may need a policy pack customised for an ecommerce store one week and a privacy review for a booking platform the next. Having a team with clear responsibilities means the work stays organised and the client is not left guessing. It also means we can respond properly when a business has a deadline, a launch date or a change in how it processes customer data.
Values That Shape Our Service
We keep our values simple and practical. If a business can understand what it is signing up for, it is in a better position to use the documents properly. If a document reflects the way the business actually operates, it is easier to maintain. And if a client knows who to speak to and what to expect, the whole process is calmer. That is how we try to work every day.
Our service is built around consistency, accuracy and responsiveness. We do not overcomplicate things, and we do not treat compliance as a box-ticking exercise. We want clients to have documents that support real trading conditions, whether they are operating from a Cape Town office, a retail unit in Paarl, or an online service reaching customers across South Africa. In a country where businesses often need to move fast and keep costs under control, clear compliance support can make a proper difference.
- Accuracy in the wording and structure of each document
- Responsiveness when a business is preparing to launch or update
- Consistency across policy packs, site terms and support documents
What Clients Come to Us For
Clients come to TsAndCs for a mix of first-time setup and ongoing support. Some need a full launch package before a new website goes live. Others need help checking whether their current policies still match how the business operates. We also work with companies that have grown quickly and now need their online documents to catch up with the way they trade. That may include changes to subscriptions, ecommerce flows, booking systems or customer data handling. We deal with the documents so the business can keep moving.
We are also used to working with businesses that need things explained plainly. Not every founder or manager has time to read through long legal text. They want to know what is required, what needs to change and what is being protected. That is where we add value. We take the compliance side seriously, but we keep the conversation practical. If something needs adjusting for POPIA, PAIA or a site-specific policy, we say so and handle it in a way that fits the business rather than slowing it down.
At the end of the day, TsAndCs exists to make compliance less intimidating and more usable. We help businesses put proper documents in place, keep them aligned as they grow, and avoid the scramble that often comes when policies are left too late. That is the kind of support we have been providing since 2013, and it remains the core of how we work today.
